McCarthy voted in as new school board president

There is a new leader of the North Ridgeville Board of Education.

Kelly McCarthy was voted in as the new school board president while Marci Saxon was voted in as the board’s new vice president during its Jan. 2 meeting.

Lake Road closure delayed as sewer project moves forward

A planned road closure at Lake Road and Mull Avenue has been delayed a week.

Rather than begining this week, the closure is now expected to begin March 7 and go through March 11.

The suggested car detour route from the east is Bradley Road to Walker Road and Walker Road to Lear Road.

First incident under new dog legislation does little to test ordinance

One dog has been voluntarily signed over to the Lorain County Dog Kennel to be euthanized and another dog has been treated for lacerations after officers responded to the area of Vanda Avenue Feb. 18 when reports of a dog fight were made.
