The North Ridgeville boys basketball team wasn’t supposed to do much in the Division I bracket. Seeded seventh, the Rangers were the favorite to win its first round matchup, but after a 63-61 win over No. 9 Westlake, the Rangers were fortunate to advance to play in round two.

Handwerk first Longhorn two-time state champion

Lutheran West junior James Handwerk did it again. After picking up a 7-1 decision victory in the Division III 182-pound division, Handwerk became the first Longhorn wrestler to win two state championships. The victory boosted his final record for the season to 49-3 overall.
