Firefighters supporting recovery month through shirt sales

WESTSHORE – Avon Lake firefighters are wearing – and selling – red shirts this month in observance of National Recovery Month. Any funds raised will benefit LCADA Way and the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Lorain County (ADAS).

Nexus pipeline approved; what’s next?

WESTSHORE –  Avon Lake’s NRG power plant has been inching closer to converting from burning coal to burning natural gas for years.

Secure Trail of Haunted Tales tickets before it’s too late!

WESTSHORE – Tickets for Avon Lake’s popular Trail of Haunted Tales, will be available online-only this year.

Because the Halloween event sold out last year, leaving frustrated attendees disappointed, the city will limit when tickets can be bought. Residents have the first option, and can buy them starting 8 a.m. Sept. 11. Everyone else must wait until Sept. 25.
