North Ridgeville High School announces new administrators

NORTH RIDGEVILLE – North Ridgeville High School Principal Thomas Szendrey, the North Ridgeville Board of Education and district leadership recently announced updates to the high school administrative team. Here are updates to staffing:

Brad Jarrett, assistant principal
• Jarrett, a 2002 North Ridgeville High School graduate, served as assistant principal of North Ridgeville Middle School during the 2016-17 academic year. Prior to 2016, Jarrett was a special education teacher at NRHS. He has been with the district for five years.

Brooke Uehlein, athletic director
• Uehlein has been the communications coordinator for the district since fall 2015. Her role included collaborating with the athletic department to open Ranger Stadium, as well as to provide support to booster groups, team youth camps and community outreach with student-athlete organizations . Prior to joining NRCS, Uehlein worked for professional and collegiate athletics since 2003. Uehlein is the current president of WISE Cleveland (Women In Sports and Events).

Shayna Asp, assistant athletic director
• Asp is a 2012 graduate of North Ridgeville High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University (2016). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. Asp has supported the NRHS athletic and administrative staff by assisting in various capacities over the past year. In addition, she has worked for Andrews Osborne Academy performing a variety of duties within the athletic department.

“I am excited to have these new additions to our administrative team,” said Szendrey. “Having two alumni serve our students and parents provides an unique viewpoint. Additionally, the athletic department continues to be transformative, as Brooke brings a variety of experiences to the position and deep understanding of the importance of school-based athletics.”
