Jeremy Cares golf outing celebrates successful 10th year

AVON LAKE – Piling into Avon’s Bob-O-Link Golf Course on a recent Saturday, 300 golfers gathered for the 10th annual We Love Jeremy Golf Outing, at which about $36,000 was raised.

Lakewood to discuss panhandling strategies for W. 117th

It’s common to see people holding signs asking for money near Interstate 90 on 117th in Cleveland.

Panhandling along 117th on the Lakewood side is getting some attention lately. The conversation started on community Facebook pages, residents complaining of being asked for money, some describing unpleasant interactions.

AVON – The annual community festival, Fall into Avon, is moving forward despite what French Creek Foundation president Clint Gault describes as a transitional year.

AVON LAKE – Avon Lake will celebrate its bicentennial with a year-long birthday party.

Cake and ice cream for everyone, insisted Barb Cagley Avon Lake Community Television manager, who is serving as coordinator on the city’s bicentennial committee.
