Proposed mutual aid agreement will better protect officers

AVON/AVON LAKE/SHEFFIELD VILLAGE – The cities of Avon, Avon Lake and Sheffield Village are moving forward with a police mutual aid agreement meant to better cover officers outside of their own jurisdictions.

This agreement will be in addition to a countywide mutual aid agreement established in 2000. The three cities involved all fall under the Avon Lake Municipal Court jurisdiction.
