Council salary increase proposal headed back to committee

Avon – Avon City Council is talking raises for its members, but before members vote on the proposal, the issue will be heading back to council’s finance committee.

Memorial Day activities for Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield Lake

The Memorial Day parade takes place at 9 a.m. Assembly begins at 8 a.m. behind the Avon Senior Center, 36744 Detroit Road in the Avon Little League Field parking lot. The parade concludes at the Avon Center Cemetery at the corner of Detroit Road and State Route 83. Parking is available for participants and spectators at the Avon Aquatic Facility, 36265 Detroit Road.
