Popular science-themed event returns this month

The program Dark Skies, Bright Kids will return to Avon Lake for the second year.

Described as a fun family astronomy night, the event was well-attended in 2016.

This year’s event will take place on Feb. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Registration and $3 per person are required.

This includes a StarLab inflatable planetarium show presented by local astronomer Suzie Dills.

Students get head start on technology in St. Peter robotics club

In this era of constantly changing technology, students at St. Peter School in North Ridgeville are getting ahead of the learning curve.

Nine students are members of the school’s Lego robotics club, which meets regularly after school under the direction of the school’s principal, Roger Brooks.
