The Avon Lake Boat Club will pay more annually moving forward. The details are still being sorted out, but it looks like the city of Avon Lake will charge the boat club $100,000 in rent over the next decade.

Avon seeking grant for multipurpose path

Avon’s multipurpose path project is back on the table.

City officials are working on securing a grant through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Clean Ohio Trails Fund Program to build the path, which would run from SR 254 (Detroit Road) to SR 611
(Colorado Avenue), following the existing high-tension power line route.

The $500,000 grant being sought would offset the estimated $1,200,000 project.
