In accordance with federal mandates, NRG Energy Inc. will soon be lessening its sulfur dioxide emissions.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) held a public hearing at the Avon Lake Public Library Nov. 18 to offer the public a chance to submit comments for the record.

Sheffield Village PD and businesses show thanks through turkey giveaway

Folks who were shopping or getting gas early Monday morning in Sheffield Village got quite a surprise when five police cars pulled up. They were clearly conducting a sweep. However, it might not be what one would suspect. These cops, along with some bighearted business people, were looking for folks who might appreciate a free turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner.
