On a quiet, sunny afternoon blanks were fired ceremoniously, Patriot Guard Riders paraded motorcycles and the sound of bagpipes and the national anthem drifted into the distance as three military veterans who were killed while on active duty were honored at Avon High School (AHS) May 18.
